Though technically a Family Physician, in reality Dr. Patterson is so much more. His specialties include Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Preventative Medicine, Nutritional Medicine and Healing Prayer. He's also one of just two family doctors in North Carolina belonging to the American Academy of Allergy & Immunology. And as an allergy sufferer himself, he's known for taking an integrated, aggressive approach to alleviate his patients' symptoms.
In fact, Dr. P is known for taking an integrated approach toward the problem at hand with all of his cases. Because he has such an extensive knowledge of both westernized medicine and what many call "alternative" treatments, he's able to draw from both perspectives to offer relief as promptly as possible. So if you suffer from something that's not easily treatable like Fibromyalgia, ADD, Migraines, or Chronic Fatigue, this is probably music to your ears. Even if you feel you may never have the need for alternative medicine, its still nice to know Dr. P is a certified expert on both side of the fence.
After receiving both his undergraduate & medical degrees from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, Dr. Patterson spent his residency in Charlotte, NC. Additionally, he has served on the faculties at UNC, Duke, and East Carolina Schools of Medicine.
