She has immensely enjoyed her career as a nurse and feels privileged to be able to draw from her nursing background to shape her as a practitioner. Courtney loves the outdoors, and is an avid camper and hiker (she thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail in 2005). She also loves skydiving, playing with her three dogs, watching Tar Heel sports, and spending time with her family, friends, and her long-time love, PJ.
