| Carolyn Rodgers was born and raised in Asheville, North Carolina. She completed her undergraduate studies at Mars Hill College, located in the Blue Ridge Mountains. There she graduated magna cum laude, with a bachelor of science degree. While attending college, she worked as a volunteer at an indigent medical clinic operated by Asheville-Buncombe Christian Community Ministries.

She was then hired as the assistant director. This clinic is still very near and dear to her heart!
Ms. Rodgers then moved to Winston-Salem, where she completed graduate studies as a Physician Assistant at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. She began her professional career in Garner, NC with an internal medicine practice, and in her spare time worked in an affiliated urgent care. She then moved to a family practice clinic in Cary. She has been practicing primary care medicine since 1997.
